Al-Burhan’s Statements… The Elixir of Sedition!

Dr. Muzammil Abu Al-Qasim

A strong and wise statement was issued by President Al-Burhan a few days ago in the national capital, Omdurman, where he said: “The Armed Forces and the leadership of the state will not abandon all the groups and forces that supported the Sudanese state and its army in freeing it from the militias and their supporters.”

This is a positive and strong statement; it deserves praise because it unites the ranks, supports the army, and cuts off any opportunities for provocateurs and those who seek to sow discord or divide the united national front against aggression and to defeat the rebellion.

In simple and direct words, President Al-Burhan summarized the situation, set the boundaries, and clarified the criterion with which the political forces will be dealt during the battle for dignity.

The criterion is clear and unequivocal: anyone who supports the Sudanese state, its army, and its citizens, and stands with the Armed Forces to repel the brutal aggression is welcome and deserves appreciation and respect, regardless of their political affiliation. Anyone who targets the army, cooperates with the militia, and aligns with them is an “enemy,” deserving of deterrence and pursuit, and should be excluded from any political process aiming to discuss the future of the country and its people.

There is no middle ground in the battle for the survival or destruction of the Sudanese state.

Based on the above, we support the great effort made by the national political forces that support the state and its army. We welcome the vision they put forward as a roadmap for the solution, through a “Sudanese-Sudanese” dialogue that takes place domestically, with full Sudanese will, excluding only those involved in the nefarious plan that aimed to hijack the Sudanese state and break its army.

We also announce our support for the efforts to develop this endeavor through scientific workshops that discuss the core issues and prospects for solutions, with clean Sudanese hands that have not been tainted by supporting the rebellion, and have not falsely claimed neutrality in a decisive battle where neutrality is considered a great betrayal. We are happy and honored to participate in this noble national effort with full enthusiasm and determination.

Anyone who wants to know the true position of the hypocritical forces that falsely claim neutrality in the battle for dignity should look at their stance and how they interact with the supporters of the state and the army on one side, and how they treat the supporters of the rebellion and its loudspeakers on the other side.

These individuals support the militia and target the army, considering it their enemy. They wished for its defeat and even demanded that it submit to the militia’s terms in negotiations. They even went further, calling for the army’s surrender to the rebels and listed the benefits of such a surrender, but they cannot openly admit their failed stance by pretending to be neutral and standing at an equal distance from both “sides of the conflict.”

The true nature of their stance becomes clear in how they deal with media figures who support the army and the media mouthpieces of the militia!

They treat us (those of us who support the army) as enemies who deserve humiliation, targeting us with organized campaigns, slander, insults, and filthy lies, while they treat the media mouthpieces of the militia with kindness, tenderness, and obvious affection. They do not attack them, target them, insult them, or accuse them of bribery, despite the clear fact that their cheap stances are paid for in advance!

In summary, they target the media supporters of the army because they are originally hostile to the army, while they go easy on the supporters of the militia because they are allies of the militia, supporting them secretly. But these stances expose them, reveal their hypocrisy, show their lies, and clarify their true position!

What they failed to realize is that they are addressing a knowledgeable, aware, and intelligent people who have enough wisdom to distinguish the bad from the good. Therefore, their deceptive tricks have not fooled us. Their falsehoods did not mislead us. We did not fall for their tricks, and we categorized them in the place they deserve: as allies of the militia and supporters of the rebellion, enemies of the brave army, while we have celebrated the national media figures who support the army.

We are present, thank God, among our people and citizens. We meet them in the streets, markets, and sit with them everywhere every day. We discuss and engage with them with an open mind and a loving heart, and we rejoice in their appreciation for our support of our country, our people, and our brave army. Meanwhile, the supporters of the rebellion from the media avoid mixing with Sudanese people even abroad. They fear confrontation with them and are afraid of meeting them. Between these two stances, the wisdom, intelligence, and patriotism of our people are clearly visible. They can distinguish the bad from the good, the traitor from the loyal patriot!
