Regulations for the Flow of Petroleum Derivatives to Liberated Areas East of the Nile

Sudan Events – Follow-ups

The Executive Director of the East Nile locality, Murtada Ya’qub Banga, emphasized the need for regulatory control over the flow of petroleum derivatives to the liberated areas of the locality.
This came during a joint meeting that included the Ministry of Transport and Petroleum of Khartoum State, the locality’s staff, and the Supply Police Investigation Unit.

The meeting agreed on the necessity of designating fuel stations supplied directly from the storage depots and establishing a mechanism to monitor the distribution of petroleum products and cooking gas. The meeting also highlighted the importance of controlling the distribution process in coordination with all security agencies and the locality’s security committee.
The Executive Director added that the locality is currently working on ensuring the flow of water services by providing solar energy units through the governor to operate groundwater wells in several villages, which rely primarily on solar power. These solar units had been looted by the rebel militia. He also reassured the residents of the locality that the battle would soon be resolved and the Daqlo terrorist militias would be defeated, thanks to the armed forces, security forces, and popular resistance.
