New Government Commitments Regarding the Agricultural Season

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Dr. Abubakar Omar Al-Bushra, pledged to provide the necessary support for agriculture in Sennar State. He promised to mobilize all the ministry’s resources to support the agricultural sector in the state, praising Sennar’s role in achieving food security and supporting exports.
During his meeting at his office with the Governor of Sennar, Major General (Ret.) Al-Zubair Hassan Al-Sayed Al-Jabra, the minister emphasized that agriculture is the key to revitalizing the country’s economic sector.
The meeting discussed preparations for the 2025-2026 summer agricultural season and ways of cooperation to achieve food security in the state.
For his part, the Governor of Sennar described the meeting as fruitful, highlighting the advantages of the state. He also pointed out the coordination between Sennar State and the Ministry of Agriculture, working side by side to advance the agricultural sector, increase production, and achieve food security.
