Powerful explosions echoed across Al-Thawra area in Karari locality, northern Omdurman, on Wednesday after artillery shells fired by the militia landed in the area.
Medical sources, according to Al Jazeera, reported that the shelling resulted in the death of a child and the injury of seven others, based on initial figures.
Local sources confirmed that the Rapid Support Forces militia launched the attack from their positions west of Omdurman, targeting Karari locality.
