Starting to Normalize Life in Bahri and East Nile

Sudan Events – Follow-up

The Higher Committee for Emergencies and Crisis Management in Khartoum State, in its meeting on Wednesday chaired by the Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza, began implementing the decisions from the Security Committee meeting with the participation of the Deputy Commander of the Armed Forces and member of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Yasser Al-Atta.

The committee directed the localities of Bahri and East Nile to fully relocate to their main headquarters and resume work there. Meanwhile, the police moved on Wednesday to their headquarters in East Nile, reopening police stations as part of a comprehensive plan to combat crime and issues that emerged during the war, address outlaws, and encourage citizens to return to their homes and secure their properties. The meeting also conducted a thorough review of supporting services in water and electricity, commending the efforts of the Khartoum State Water Authority in restarting the Tamaniyat Water Station, which supplies drinking water to areas from Kadaro in the south to the northern villages.

On another note, the meeting directed the completion of moving the shelter centers from schools to alternative locations to enable students to resume their studies.
