12 Killed and Injured in Bombing in Al-Obeid

The Sudan Doctors Network announced on Wednesday that four civilians were killed and eight others were injured due to artillery shelling carried out by the Rapid Support Militia, which targeted residential neighborhoods in the city of Al-Obeid, North Kordofan State.

The Sudan Doctors Network confirmed in a statement that the shelling targeted populated areas, resulting in human losses. The network stated that the residential neighborhoods were the sole target of this bombing and held the Rapid Support Militia fully responsible for the deliberate targeting of civilians.

The network called on the international community to exert serious pressure on the leadership of the Rapid Support Forces and those behind them to stop attacks on civilians and cease the use of heavy weapons in residential areas.

The statement noted that the repeated shelling carried out by the Rapid Support Forces is not limited to Al-Obeid, but also affects other areas in Darfur, Kordofan, and Khartoum, using the same targeting methods against civilians.
