Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Assistant Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jaber, met with Russian Special Envoy for the Middle East and Africa, Mikhail Bogdanov, on the sidelines of the 34th regular Arab Summit held in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
The meeting was also attended by the Undersecretary of the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hussein Al-Amin.
The discussions focused on the course of bilateral relations between Sudan and Russia and ways to develop and strengthen them in various fields. They also explored prospects for joint cooperation, issues of mutual interest, and the latest developments in Sudan.
The meeting reaffirmed commitment to the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Sudan, and the importance of bolstering efforts to achieve security, stability, and peace. It also addressed the government’s efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to those in need.
