Jaber Urges Arab Leaders: Halt the Supply of Weapons and Mercenaries to Militias

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Assistant Commander, Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jaber, reaffirmed Sudan’s firm position on the Palestinian cause—supporting the establishment of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital and rejecting all forms of displacement and violations of international law faced by the Palestinian people.

In Sudan’s address at the 34th regular Arab Summit held in the Iraqi capital, he emphasized the importance of adhering to the principles of joint Arab action and strengthening unified positions to meet the aspirations of the peoples.

The Sovereignty Council member confirmed the Sudanese government’s commitment to implementing the roadmap presented to the United Nations and mediators. This roadmap includes a ceasefire, the withdrawal of militias from all areas and cities, lifting the siege on El Fasher, enabling the return of displaced persons and refugees, facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid, resuming the transitional political process, and initiating a comprehensive Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue leading to elections.

He called for active support of national Sudanese solutions that would lead to a sustainable peace with regional impact, appealing for contributions toward the reconstruction of Sudan and the rehabilitation of its infrastructure.
