“Sovereignty Council” Calls on Prime Minister to Form a National Government

The Transitional Sovereignty Council held a meeting on Tuesday, chaired by the President of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan.

The Council congratulated Dr. Kamal El-Tayeb Idris Abdelhafiz on his appointment as Prime Minister, wishing him success in leading the country into a new phase, and in forming a national government that would steer Sudan forward and achieve security, stability, peace, and development in line with the aspirations of the Sudanese people.

The Council reviewed the overall developments in the country and praised the victories achieved by the Armed Forces, joint forces, and mobilized fighters in various operational theaters, and their efforts in confronting the terrorist rebel militia.

The Sovereignty Council also congratulated the Sudanese people, the Armed Forces, other regular forces, and mobilized fighters on the full cleansing of Khartoum State from the terrorist Al-Dagalo militia and the complete removal of the rebels and their allies.

Furthermore, the Council was briefed on efforts to provide essential services and supplies to citizens in the upcoming phase.
