Cameron Hudson: Eight Emirati Soldiers Killed in Nyala

Former U.S. diplomat Cameron Hudson revealed that eight Emirati soldiers were killed in a drone strike carried out by the Sudanese army targeting a Rapid Support Forces (RSF) airbase in the city of Nyala.

Hudson, speaking before the Subcommittee on Africa of the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee, also disclosed that mercenaries from Colombia, Kenya, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Libya, Chad, Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, and the Central African Republic were killed in the same airstrike.

The American diplomat emphasized that the UAE bears significant responsibility for supporting the militia and is besieging Sudan through a network of proxy wars extending from Libya to the Central African Republic. He stressed that the evidence is clear regarding the UAE’s involvement in the Sudanese conflict.

He called on Washington to act swiftly to end the war, stating, “The Sudanese people deserve for their democratic aspirations to be fulfilled. But that will not happen until the guns fall silent and the war’s financiers understand there is no complete military victory.”
