Three people were killed and 12 others injured on Saturday evening during an artillery shelling that targeted residential neighborhoods in the city of El Fasher, North Darfur State.
Eyewitnesses told Darfur24 that neighborhoods in El Fasher were subjected to shelling by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on Saturday night, resulting in civilian casualties.
Mubarak Musa, a resident of Abu Shouk Al-Hilla neighborhood, reported that the shelling targeted the districts of Al-Nasrat, Al-Qubba, Al-Shurfa, and the western sector of El Fasher, with more than 40 shells fired on Saturday evening.
He stated that the shelling in the Al-Nasr neighborhood killed three people and injured five others, while seven individuals — including children — were wounded in the shelling of Abu Shouk Al-Hilla.
The wounded were transported to the Saudi Hospital, he added.
A medical source at the Saudi Hospital confirmed that the facility received more than 10 injured cases on Sunday morning as a result of the artillery shelling the previous night.
