The Sudanese army, alongside joint and supporting forces, has intensified its military operations across several fronts in the Kordofan states.
According to Sudanese military sources, the army has begun advancing toward the city of Bara in North Kordofan via the “Desert National Highway” axis.
Bara is considered one of the largest RSF strongholds in North Kordofan, recently reinforced by defeated RSF units from South Omdurman after the liberation of the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, according to the same sources.
The sources also reported that the Sudanese army has completed its preparations to liberate Al-Nuhud in West Kordofan and is making progress in the south to break the two-year siege of Dilling, through the unification of the “Al-Sayyad Task Force” with the army’s 54th Brigade inside the city.
Major General Abdelaziz Ibrahim, commander of the 10th Infantry Division in Abu Jubeiha, South Kordofan, confirmed the army’s “determination” and readiness to continue liberating and regaining control over all areas previously lost.
Field sources indicated that following its control over the Um Labana area near Al-Khuwei, the army is now fully prepared to advance toward Al-Nuhud.
Sources also confirmed that army forces have reclaimed several villages in the vicinity of Al-Dibaybat and are advancing toward Abu Zabad.
