The “Coalition of Honorable Sudanese Abroad,” in cooperation with several civil society organizations, communities, and groups supporting the Sudanese Armed Forces, organized mass protests on Saturday in front of UAE embassies in several capitals and cities around the world. These included the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Canada, Spain, Belgium, France, and Ireland.
These demonstrations were part of the “Sudanese Day of Anger” campaign and featured slogans denouncing the UAE’s war on Sudan and rejecting the U.S. sanctions imposed on Sudan, which protesters claim are orchestrated and driven by the aggressor state supporting the rebel militias with weapons, funding, and political cover.
Participants stressed their full support for the Sudanese Armed Forces in the battle for dignity and firmly rejected foreign interference and the double standards of the international community.
They also called for an immediate halt to war funding and for paving the way toward a national solution that leads Sudan to peace and stability.
The organizing coalition confirmed that similar protests would continue in other capitals and cities in the coming days.
