The Sudanese Armed Forces announced the discovery of a large cache of weapons and ammunition in areas south of Omdurman, which were recaptured from the RSF militia in mid-May 2025.
On Monday, the army stated that its Special Operations Forces found an arsenal of weapons and ammunition hidden inside residential buildings that had been turned into military bases by the militia.
The army reported that it is currently conducting an inventory of the weapons and ammunition due to the vast quantities and multiple storage sites found in south Omdurman.
