
Turkey has welcomed the appointment of a civilian Prime Minister in Sudan for the first time since 2022, stating that this move reflects the seriousness of the Sudanese government in implementing the roadmap announced by the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, last February.
According to Anadolu Agency, Turkish Ambassador to Sudan, Fatih Yıldız, emphasized that the presence of a government managing the country’s affairs despite the humanitarian crisis is extremely important, both for Sudan and for Turkey, which maintains close relations with the country. He noted that Ankara supports the Sudanese government’s efforts to address the humanitarian crisis.
