The President of the Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, praised the role of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization (SSMO) and its detailed reports on technical operations, damage assessment, and the status of the organization’s tower in Khartoum State, which was destroyed by the rebel militia.
On Wednesday, the Director-General of the SSMO, Rahba Saeed Abdullah, received an honorary award from the Sovereignty Council, presented by the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Osman Hussein Osman, in the presence of several department heads.
In her remarks, Rahba expressed great joy over the honor bestowed on the SSMO, which had been actively engaged from the beginning of the war through recovery and the promising signs of victory, achieved by the grace of God.
She stated that this recognition is a medal worn with pride by all staff members and that the commendation from the President of the Sovereignty Council is an unparalleled honor. “We pledge that this will only increase our strength and determination to continue serving our beloved country and delivering top performance in line with global quality standards, contributing alongside our partners to building a modern Sudan,” she said.
Rahba added, “On behalf of myself and all employees, we reiterate our thanks and appreciation to the leadership of both the Sovereignty Council and the Council of Ministers for this recognition and appreciation of the Authority’s efforts.”
