The Minister of Culture and Information, Khalid El-Eisair, stated that the country is witnessing a historic day with the arrival of Dr. Kamil Idris, the new Prime Minister, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Sudan’s political life.
Speaking to the press during Dr. Idris’s reception at Port Sudan Airport on Thursday, El-Eisair said:
“We welcome Dr. Kamil Idris on behalf of the government and the people, wishing him success in his efforts to bring security and reassurance to the Sudanese people.”
He added that this new phase represents a beacon of hope and the launch of a new era characterized by signs of the desired civilian democratic transition.
“We are promised good, safety, and reassurance in this new stage, and we wish all prosperity and well-being for the Sudanese people,” he said.
