
On Tuesday, Deputy Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Malik Aqar, met with Prime Minister Dr. Kamal Idris and praised him for accepting the responsibilities of the premiership at this critical time for the country.
Aqar affirmed that the Prime Minister will receive full support and constructive cooperation from members of the Sovereign Council to enable him to carry out his duties effectively.
The meeting addressed issues related to the civil service, the functioning of state institutions, and the importance of coordinating efforts to enhance the efficiency of the executive body. They also discussed policy-making for resource management, revitalizing the national economy, and activating anti-corruption mechanisms. The meeting emphasized the vital role of women and youth in building Sudan’s future.
Discussions also covered Sudan’s foreign relations and ways to build sound relations that serve the country’s interests and preserve its regional and international balance, in addition to preserving the Juba Peace Agreement.
