Acting Governor of Kassala, Omar Othman Adam, reviewed the success of a security unit that dismantled a criminal network of seven individuals specialized in forging identification documents and official papers, including passports, national ID numbers, university degrees, marriage certificates, and more.
He described the operation as a major achievement, saying, “We congratulate the members of the security unit for this precise operation. No matter how crime evolves, our security personnel remain up to date and capable of penetrating these criminal activities.”
For his part, Colonel Khaled Al-Sadiq, head of the security unit, explained that seven suspects were arrested in possession of a laptop, a color printer, a pistol, ammunition for a Kalashnikov rifle, military uniforms, a power generator, and a large number of forged certificates and documents.
He added that the network is operated by an individual identified as “M” from the United States, who prepares the forged documents and sends them to another individual identified as “B,” who then distributes them to others responsible for delivering them to foreigners.
