
Transitional Prime Minister Dr. Kamal Idris emphasized the crucial role of the police forces in the coming phase, noting that maintaining internal security in areas liberated from the rebellion falls on the shoulders of the police. He affirmed that the government will provide all necessary support to enable the police to carry out their duties.
The Prime Minister inspected police forces in the Red Sea State. He was received at the Police Club in Port Sudan on Saturday by Major General Dafallah Taha Ahmed Dafallah, Director of the State Police, along with other officials.
He called on all state institutions at every level to work in unity for the advancement of the country, the preservation of its dignity, and the expulsion of the rebel Rapid Support Forces militia from every inch of national territory.
The State Police Director highlighted the contributions of the police in the “War of Dignity,” stressing that police units stand shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces until the aggression is repelled and the RSF militia is decisively defeated.
He added that the Prime Minister faces major responsibilities, foremost among them forming a government to lead the executive apparatus and fulfill the aspirations of the people, affirming the police’s support for the efforts of the transitional Prime Minister.
