Sudan’s Ambassador to Turkey, Nader Youssef, met on Tuesday with Turkish Deputy Minister of Interior, Mehmet Salim.
The meeting comes as part of the efforts by the Sudanese Embassy in Ankara to safeguard the interests of Sudanese nationals in Turkey, in accordance with the directives of the Prime Minister regarding the evacuation of stranded Sudanese citizens in Iran, and in coordination with the Sudanese Embassy in Tehran.
The meeting addressed the ongoing follow-up on granting humanitarian residency to Sudanese nationals stranded in Turkey, as well as arrangements to evacuate Sudanese citizens from Iran to Sudan via Turkish territory.
The Turkish Deputy Minister of Interior promised to give both issues top priority and to provide all possible support to facilitate the process.
