Decline in Crop Prices

Crop prices at the Gedaref Commodities Exchange witnessed a decline on Wednesday.

The price of a quintal of processed sesame ranged between SDG 150,000–157,000, while a taxed quintal of sesame was priced between SDG 130,000–145,000. The price of an Ardeb of “Akir” sorghum ranged between SDG 215,000–225,000, and an Ardeb of red millet was priced at SDG 215,000–230,000. Meanwhile, the price of a sack of lentils rose to SDG 250,000–270,000.

Kibkabi (pigeon peas) was priced at SDG 270,000, while groundnuts (peanuts) ranged between SDG 55,000–60,000. The price of a ton of sunflower seeds ranged from SDG 2,200,000 to 2,400,000.
