Kuwait: We Will Stand with Sudan in the Reconstruction Phase

Prime Minister Dr. Kamel Idris affirmed the depth and strength of the bilateral relations between Sudan and Kuwait, expressing Sudan’s keenness to maintain and develop these relations in all aspects to serve the interests of both countries and their brotherly peoples.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Idris met at his office in Port Sudan with the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Sudan, Fahad Mashari Al-Dhafiri, where they discussed avenues of joint cooperation and ways to enhance it.

Idris praised Kuwait’s supportive stance toward Sudan throughout the war against the Rapid Support Forces rebel militia, noting that the relations with Kuwait are historic.

In press statements, Ambassador Fahad emphasized Kuwait’s solidarity with Sudan’s leadership and people amid the ongoing war, expressing his country’s commitment to advancing all measures that would strengthen bilateral or regional cooperation with Sudan in all fields. He also expressed support for the Prime Minister, saying, “We hope he succeeds in his mission, which we see as exceptional and important in Sudan’s history.”

The ambassador reiterated Kuwait’s support for Sudan during the reconstruction phase, announcing the readiness of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development to coordinate, consult, and cooperate with Sudan in reconstruction efforts, highlighting the fund’s expertise and experience in these areas.
