A senior official in Nile River State said that the state’s security forces are alert and aware, and have successfully downed all drones that attempted to target Atbara Airport without any losses. He noted that the Security Committee holds regular meetings and is fully performing its duties, emphasizing that all such targeting attempts are doomed to fail.
According to the “Al-Muhaqqiq” news website, the official stated that the swarm of drones which tried to strike Atbara and its airport on Thursday came from the west of the Berber area, but was intercepted by air defenses. He confirmed that the security situation in the state is stable and that security forces remain on constant alert — pointing to the fact that all militia drones were shot down, despite their numbers, as proof of readiness.
