The 6th Infantry Division in El Fasher confirmed that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia carried out heavy artillery shelling on the city over the past three days, resulting in the killing and injury of several civilians.
The victims were transported to hospitals and medical centers for treatment. The division also reported that the militia targeted families fleeing the city toward the Qarni area, assaulted women, looted their belongings, and denied children access to water in a sinister attempt to starve and dehydrate them.
In a press briefing, the 6th Division reassured the Sudanese people at home and abroad that El Fasher remains in safe hands and that the terrorist militia would not succeed in harming the city, regardless of their disinformation campaigns.
The division congratulated the valiant Armed Forces on their victories across various battlefronts, especially in the areas of Babanusa, Al-Qumeira, and Fashir Al-Sultan. It saluted all the brave fighters defending the nation day and night.
It also praised the courage and valor of all frontline soldiers in the War of Dignity for their fierce determination to protect the land and its people, affirming that they are writing history in letters of light.
