Civil Defense Removes Hazardous Materials in Khartoum

The Hazardous Materials Unit of the Civil Defense Forces successfully removed 12 fuses during a non-technical sweep of the air navigation buildings at Khartoum International Airport.

The team also removed a 40mm rocket body buried 70 cm deep in a farm in Al-Geraif West, Khartoum. Additionally, they retrieved a mortar shell from a well at the Sudanese-Jordanian College of Science and Technology, and removed three mortars and a hand grenade from around the Awad Khogali Training Center buildings in Khartoum.

Furthermore, they removed a suspicious object from a house in Street 41, Al-Amarat neighborhood, Khartoum.

The relevant authorities stated that the operation would continue until Khartoum is completely cleared of all war remnants.
