The President of the Transitional Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, was briefed on the overall situation in West Kordofan State and the efforts of the state government to assist citizens affected by the war.
On Monday, Al-Burhan met in his office with the Governor of West Kordofan, Major General (Ret.) Mohammed Adam Jabid, who stated in a press release that the meeting addressed the state’s current conditions caused by the war launched by the terrorist Al-Dagalo militia against the state and its institutions. He highlighted the severe damage inflicted on government facilities and infrastructure projects, noting that many of the state’s residents have become internally displaced within West Kordofan or have fled to other areas due to the militia’s targeting of civilians.
The Governor affirmed that the humanitarian interventions in the state were initiated by the President of the Sovereign Council and have helped alleviate the suffering of the people of West Kordofan. He confirmed the state government’s readiness to cooperate with all parties to restore security and stability in the region and ensure the delivery of essential services to citizens.
