Member of the Sovereignty Council and Assistant Commander-in-Chief, Lt. Gen. Engineer Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, was briefed on Thursday on the efforts and contributions of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in delivering services and rebuilding infrastructure in Khartoum State.
This came during his meeting with UNDP Resident Representative Luca Renda, who stated in a press briefing that the meeting addressed the situation in Khartoum State and the role of the UNDP in supporting return programs and projects, and in providing basic services to citizens such as electricity, water, and healthcare. He also noted the program’s contribution to reconstruction efforts and the rehabilitation of public, educational, and health facilities.
Luca added that the UNDP will continue to coordinate and cooperate with the government to implement its plans and programs in the coming period.
