Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Al-Tayeb Idris issued a decision on Thursday exempting solar energy batteries from value-added tax (VAT).
The decision directed the relevant ministries and bodies—including the Cabinet Affairs Ministry (Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization), the Ministry of Finance (Tax Authority), the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and other concerned parties—to take the necessary steps to implement the decision.
