Ahfad University’s decision to increase tuition fees for female students has sparked widespread anger among parents, who described the hike as excessive and unjustified—especially amid the ongoing war in Sudan.
Parents said the decision contradicts directives issued by the Cabinet under Prime Minister Kamal Idris and places an additional burden on already struggling Sudanese families. They demanded that the university review and revoke the newly imposed fees.
