Sources confirmed to Darfur24 that the race for the Prime Minister position in the planned parallel government—expected to be announced in RSF-controlled areas—has been narrowed to three candidates: Mohamed Hassan Al-Ta’ayshi, Ibrahim Al-Mirghani, and Hamed Al-Bashir.
The sources indicated that consultations among the signatories to the political charter of the Founding Sudan Alliance have reached final stages, with preliminary agreement on the proposed names.
Earlier, two consistent sources within the RSF’s civil administration in South Darfur told Darfur24 that preparations for hosting the announcement of the “Founding” government are nearly complete, following final administrative and technical arrangements in Nyala.
