Foreign Ministry: Militia’s “Fake Government” Is Evidence of Its Defeat

The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia and its political allies for what it called the announcement of a “fake government,” claiming to have distributed government positions to manage Sudan, in total disregard and mockery of the suffering of the Sudanese people — whom the terrorist militia has subjected to all forms of violence, abuse, and torture.

In a statement released on Sunday, the ministry said that the militia’s declaration of its fake government via social media is clear evidence of its defeat and collapse at the hands of the brave Sudanese Armed Forces in all their formations and military structures.

The statement added that the participation of certain civilian components in this fake announcement reveals the true face of those alliances and confirms their involvement in a conspiracy orchestrated in full coordination with the terrorist militia to seize power by force on the morning of April 15, 2023.

The ministry also expressed deep concern over Kenya’s approval and facilitation of the rebel militia’s preparatory meetings to announce its illegitimate government in Nairobi, calling it a blatant violation of Sudan’s sovereignty and a breach of the principle of non-interference in internal affairs. It further stated that this act contradicts the principles and charters of the United Nations, the African Union, and IGAD, all of which support Sudan’s unity and territorial integrity.

The Sudanese government called on all neighboring countries, the international community, regional and international organizations, and all relevant bodies to condemn this declaration. It urged them not to recognize or engage with the illegitimate entity announced by the terrorist militia, emphasizing that any engagement with it in any form constitutes an infringement on the sovereignty of Sudan and a grave violation of the rights and resources of the Sudanese people.
