
Member of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereign Council, Dr. Salma Abdeljabbar Al-Mubarak, has called for increased humanitarian aid to affected states, with a specific focus on supporting voluntary return initiatives and ensuring the provision of essential services such as water, healthcare, and education.
During a meeting on Tuesday with Lt. Gen. Al-Sadiq Ismail Mahmoud, Humanitarian Affairs Advisor to the Sovereign Council, Salma commended the efforts of the advisory office and the High Emergency Committee for their work in delivering aid and facilitating humanitarian operations.
Lt. Gen. Mahmoud stated that he briefed the council member on recent activities and the government’s vision for humanitarian assistance, including the distribution of monthly relief supplies across all Sudanese states.
He also expressed appreciation for Dr. Salma’s continued support and commitment to humanitarian efforts across the country.
