Minawi Arko Minawi, Governor of Darfur, announced the successful repulsion of the Rapid Support Forces militia attack on El Fasher.
In a tweet on “X,” he said, “Whoever tells the Rapid Support Forces militia that their attempt to enter El Fasher Sultan is only a one-way ticket with no return.”
Minawi, who also oversees the Joint Forces, congratulated the fighters inside the city on their victory over the “Janjaweed militia” in what he called the 227th battle.
He accused the forces of starving children, women, and the elderly amid global silence and said those once considered brothers in the trenches have reneged on their promises.
He added, “But our determination will not weaken, and the banners of victory will continue to wave until the soil of El Fasher and all Sudanese cities is purified from the filth of these criminals.”
