US President Donald Trump’s senior adviser on African affairs, Massad Boulos, condemned the killing of Sudanese civilians in Darfur at the hands of the Rapid Support Forces.
In a post on X, Boulos stressed that “the United States strongly condemns the killing of civilians by the RSF in Abu Shouk refugee camp in El Fasher, North Darfur.”
He added that the US “remains deeply concerned about the deteriorating situation and reports of RSF violence against civilians in and around El Fasher.”
Boulos called for unhindered humanitarian access and the protection of civilians, including the establishment of safe corridors for those fleeing the violence.
