Sovereignty Council Chairman Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan issued a decree appointing Major General Abbas Mohamed Bakhit as Deputy Director of the General Intelligence Service. He will join Major General Mohamed Abbas Al-Labeeb, also a deputy director, providing additional leadership to manage files and operations.
A security source explained that the appointment aims to strengthen the agency’s leadership structure, distribute responsibilities among senior officials, and respond to Sudan’s complex security and military challenges through enhanced intelligence coordination and field monitoring.
