The Sudan Meteorological Authority forecast heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds across southern and central Red Sea and River Nile states, as well as wide areas of Northern State, northern Kassala, and southern White Nile, beginning Friday evening through Saturday morning. The authority warned of high water levels in streams and valleys and issued a high-risk orange alert, urging residents to avoid low-lying areas.
