Finance Ministry, UNDP Agree on Technical Cooperation

Minister of State at the Ministry of Finance, Dr. Mohamed Nour Abdel Daim, has confirmed an agreement with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to cooperate on technical support, particularly in the area of public financial management systems aimed at improving transparency, meeting international standards, and advancing good governance.
On Wednesday, Abdel Daim met UNDP Resident Representative in Sudan, Luca Renda, at the ministries complex in Port Sudan.
The minister outlined the ministry’s strategies for reforming financial systems and advancing digital transformation across the financial and economic sectors.
For his part, Renda said the UNDP will continue to provide technical expertise through sectoral specialists in support of the ministry’s economic reforms. He added that the UNDP remains committed to assisting Sudan through various programs, including humanitarian aid and technical support for economic growth.
