
Sudanese Prime Minister Dr. Kamel Idris met on Wednesday in Port Sudan with the United Kingdom’s Special Representative to Sudan, Richard Crowder. Crowder reaffirmed the UK’s ongoing humanitarian support and highlighted the deteriorating conditions for millions due to atrocities by rebel militias.
He emphasized continued efforts to urge countries and organizations to fulfill their humanitarian commitments to Sudan, which reached £800 million during recent London meetings. The UK representative noted plans to resume discussions in New York during the UN General Assembly to work on a ceasefire in El Fasher and facilitate humanitarian aid access for civilians.
