Chairman of the Sudanese Industries Union, Moawia Al-Brier, affirmed that Sudan is well-positioned to become a strategic partner with Egypt in food and pharmaceutical manufacturing, given its abundant raw materials and promising investment opportunities.

Speaking at the preparatory workshops for the Second Egyptian-Sudanese Businessmen’s Forum in Cairo on Tuesday, Al-Brier highlighted Sudan’s vast agricultural potential, including fertile land and extensive farmland.

The opening workshop, titled “Food and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Between Egypt and Sudan: Opportunities and Challenges”, examined prospects for cooperation in both sectors, reviewing available resources and the obstacles facing investors.

Dr. Ali Al-Nagi, Chairman of the Egyptian-Sudanese Company, praised the depth of historical ties between the two countries, stressing that industrial integration is a strategic pillar for economic advancement. He underscored that Egypt’s advanced infrastructure and industrial expertise, combined with Sudan’s untapped potential, create strong prospects for joint growth.
