Sudan’s Central Bank Governor Denies Existence of Parallel Currency

Sudan’s Central Bank Governor, Burai Al-Siddiq, has denied the existence of a parallel currency to the Sudanese pound.

In a televised interview with a Turkish channel, Al-Siddiq stressed that there is currently no alternative or parallel version of the national currency, dismissing opposition claims abroad as false. He confirmed that the central bank has successfully reproduced a new currency abroad with enhanced security features.
