Darfur Regional Governor Minni Arko Minnawi strongly condemned the RSF militia’s attack on an internally displaced persons (IDP) shelter in El-Fasher, describing it as another crime added to the militia’s bloody record against defenseless civilians.
In a Facebook post, Minnawi said the treacherous assault deliberately targeted displaced women, children, and elderly people, underscoring that the militia makes no distinction between combatants and civilians, continuing its scorched-earth policies and acts of genocide against the people of Darfur.
He stressed that the attack was a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and called on human rights organizations to urgently intervene to protect the people of El-Fasher.
