Transitional Sovereignty Council Chairman Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan was briefed on the outcome of Sudan’s participation in the recent United Nations General Assembly session in New York.
Al-Burhan met on Thursday with Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris Al-Tayeb, who provided a detailed update on the consultations and bilateral meetings held by the Sudanese delegation with a number of heads of state and government leaders.
According to the Prime Minister, the meetings yielded positive results in strengthening Sudan’s foreign relations and expanding areas of cooperation. He stressed that Sudan’s participation also provided an opportunity to clarify the reality of the situation in the country following the rebellion launched by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia against the state and its institutions—a message that was well received by many participating nations.
