Political forces under the Forces of Freedom and Change – Democratic Bloc have launched preparatory consultations ahead of presenting the bloc’s vision for the Sudanese–Sudanese dialogue.
The opening session of the workshop was held Sunday in Port Sudan in cooperation with the organization Promodation, and attended by leaders of the bloc’s member organizations.
Darfur Regional Governor and Head of the Bloc’s Political Committee, Minni Arko Minawi, said the country’s situation requires intensified joint efforts among all civil and military components to achieve stability in Sudan.
He praised Promodation’s support for political stability and peace initiatives, and welcomed all efforts contributing to national stability.
Minawi explained that the workshop aims to consolidate various initiatives and unify political forces around a single vision to support stability, emphasizing the need for coordination among international initiatives.
He pointed to ongoing efforts by the African Union, the Arab League, the United Nations, and IGAD to foster national consensus.
