Port Authority Denies Reports of Delegation Being Barred from Entering Moscow

The Sea Ports Authority has denied reports circulating about its delegation to Russia being detained or subjected to inappropriate treatment.

In an official statement, the authority clarified that the delegation was on an officially documented mission mandated by the state, and that coordination had been carried out with the relevant agencies in accordance with established procedures and foreign engagement protocols, in full coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its institutions.

The statement added that all official missions are subject to strict regulations, performance reports, and financial audits, and that no funds are disbursed without official documentation.
It continued: “The talk about an external mission in such a vulgar and baseless manner reflects ignorance about the nature of the Port Authority’s work — as it is, unlike other institutions, an international entity that by necessity requires overseas assignments and engagements.”
