ICC Delegation to Meet Sudanese in London Over Darfur Crimes

The Darfur Associations in the United Kingdom announced a visit by a high-level delegation from the International Criminal Court (ICC) Office of the Prosecutor to London on November 4, 2025. The visit, organized at the association’s invitation, marks the first of its kind following the first trial for Darfur’s genocide.

The visit aims to advance justice, ensure accountability for Darfur genocide victims, and uphold the principle of non-impunity in Sudan.

The delegation will include ICC officials, including the International Cooperation Advisor and the officer in charge of the cases of Ali Kushayb and other ICC-listed individuals. The delegation will also review ongoing crimes currently occurring in Darfur.

According to the announcement, the delegation will hold extensive meetings with civil society organizations, members of the Sudanese community in the UK, and Darfur genocide survivors residing in the country. Discussions will focus on current developments and mechanisms to halt the genocide and hold perpetrators accountable, ensuring justice and non-impunity.

The Darfur Associations emphasized that the visit is a historic step toward reinforcing justice, amplifying victims’ voices, reminding the international community of its moral and legal obligations, and ensuring accountability for war crimes and crimes against humanity still ongoing in Darfur.

The association reaffirmed its commitment that all perpetrators of crimes against innocent Sudanese citizens will face fair trials, whether inside Sudan or abroad, reinforcing the principle that no one is above the law and promoting peace and social restoration in a war-torn country.
