Sudanese Minister Addresses Vigil in Azerbaijan Denouncing Militia Crimes

Sudan’s Minister of Communications and Digital Transformation, Ahmed Dardiri Ghindour, addressed a vigil organized by the Sudanese Embassy in Azerbaijan for Sudanese citizens and students at the embassy premises.
The minister conveyed greetings from Prime Minister Prof. Kamel Al-Tayeb Idris, emphasizing the importance of investing in youth and students as leaders of Sudan’s digital transformation, noting that technology is not merely a tool but a pillar for advancing services, governance, and sustainable development.
Dardiri highlighted the ministry’s ongoing efforts to enhance the digital infrastructure through modern policies and initiatives, including artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, aiming to build a more efficient and inclusive digital future. “Our confidence in Sudanese youth is limitless, and through joint efforts, we will create a genuine transformation that reflects the nation’s aspirations and harnesses their energy and innovations,” he said.
Meanwhile, Sudanese Ambassador to Baku, Anas Al-Tayeb Al-Jilani, stated that recent events in Sudan were orchestrated by external actors, despite the contradictory narratives promoted by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which cited the framework agreement or combating “State 56” as justifications.
The ambassador affirmed that the international and regional community, human rights organizations, and legal mechanisms are now fully convinced of the systematic violence perpetrated by the RSF, including crimes against humanity and acts of genocide. He noted calls for holding the RSF legally and ethically accountable and for classifying the militia as a terrorist organization, ensuring that its perpetrators do not evade justice.
Al-Jilani also highlighted the displacement of citizens from Darfur and Al-Fashir to northern areas due to militia atrocities, emphasizing that the voluntary return of people to areas under the Sudanese Armed Forces’ control signals public rejection of the RSF and a lack of trust in their presence.
In conclusion, the ambassador praised the success of Sudan’s diplomatic campaign, coordinated across embassies, missions, and Sudanese communities worldwide.
