Prison sentence issued against Al-Waleed Madibo

A specialized Qatari court has sentenced militia leader Al-Waleed Madibo to one year in prison in the case filed against him by Ambassador Amira Gornas.
The court also ordered that Madibo be deported from the country after serving his sentence, and imposed a fine of 50,000 Qatari riyals payable to the state.
Additionally, the court referred the civil aspect of the case to the competent authority to review the plaintiff’s claim for damages.
