Jibril: Sudan Will Not Allow Any Political or Military Role for the Militia

The Chairman of the Justice and Equality Movement and Minister of Finance, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, affirmed that Sudan will not allow any future political or military role for the militia, and that the state is moving forward to liberate every inch of the country.
During his meeting on Monday with a delegation from the Swiss Agency for Cooperation and Development—headed by Deputy Director General Dominique Stühler—on a visit aimed at assessing the humanitarian situation in Sudan and strengthening partnership with the government, he emphasized the importance of regulating and organizing the work of international organizations to provide urgent medical and humanitarian assistance to the wounded and affected. He stressed the need to stop the exploitation of humanitarian corridors for activities unrelated to relief, in addition to the role required from the international community in halting the supply of weapons from the Abu Dhabi regime, considering it the quickest path to contributing to ending the war.
The meeting discussed the current situation in Sudan, particularly what the city of El Fasher is witnessing in terms of massacres and attempts to erase evidence of crimes committed by rebel gangs against civilians.
He affirmed that the government will work to strengthen national capacity and community resilience by supporting agriculture, health, and education, and by transitioning from dependence on temporary aid to building the foundations of sustainable development.
