On Sunday, the European Union announced three new humanitarian and development initiatives totaling €95 million to support Sudanese communities affected by displacement and armed conflict.
These projects aim to strengthen local resilience, provide essential services including health, education, and water, and support peacebuilding and community reconciliation programs.
The initiatives reflect the EU’s long-term commitment to Sudan, building on previous humanitarian and development projects implemented with UN agencies and international and local organizations.
The EU mission emphasized that these projects will be carried out in partnership with Sudanese and international actors, prioritizing areas most affected by displacement and conflict to ensure aid reaches the most vulnerable populations.
